Cabin in the Pines, just minutes from downtown Chama

This is the place to be if you love peace, solitude, and the outdoors. This cabin is located just 5 minutes from downtown Chama in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by tall ponderosa pines. Enjoy the outdoors whether it is relaxing on the wrap-around covered deck or recreating in the Sargents Wildlife Area. There is a fireplace, outdoor fire pit, horsehoes, and grill for guests to enjoy as well. Wildlife are often spotted around the property, including deer, turkeys, elk and the occasional bear.
This 1100 square foot cabin is the perfect getaway for those looking for a quiet retreat in the mountains. There are two bedrooms- downstairs has a king bed and the upstairs (open loft bedroom) has two queen beds. The inside of the cabin is small but has everything guests need and the fully wrapped around deck with patio furniture is a great place to enjoy the wonderful mountain weather that we get in Chama. Open up the windows for the fresh mountain air, as this cabin (along with most homes in Chama) does NOT have A/C. Or stay inside and get a fire going in the wood burning stove. There is enough parking for those pulling trailers to haul horses, ATV's, or snowmobiles. Guests are also close enough to either walk, bike, or horseback ride into Sargents without having to drive as well.

‘Great deal of thought was put into outfitting this place.’

“Cabin in the Pines in Chama, NM provided an excellent stay for our family. The location was perfect and the cabin was completely as advertised. We found everything inside that a renter could ever need. It’s obvious that a great deal of thought was put into outfitting this place. The wooded location provided ample opportunities for viewing wildlife- and we weren’t disappointed. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay and we would definitely not hesitate to stay again in the future.”

‘Our kids did not want to leave.’

“This place is beautiful. So lovely inside and out. The ample board games and play house outside was icing on the cake. Close to the train station, grocery store, but enough removed to feel like a real getaway. Our kids did not want to leave.”

‘We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck watching wildlife.’

“This was the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. The cabin was clean and cozy with a mountain feel. The wraparound deck provides excellent views. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck watching wildlife, and dinner on the deck watching the rain. The walk to the wildlife area is short and easy and the wildlife area is beautiful with amazing views. Overall excellent!!”
